Ingredients:
1 Georgia country ham (about 12 pounds) 5.6kg 1½ cups packed brown sugar 360ml 1 cup bourbon 240ml |
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 200° (93° C). Soak ham overnight in cold water and scrub with stiff brush. Change water a few times to rid ham of excess salt.
In bowl, combine brown sugar and bourbon and press into fat of ham. Place in roasting pan, cover and bake for 8 hours. DO NOT OPEN OVEN. |
